The preseason is in full swing, and United Soccer League Soccer dot com is long on puff pieces about players and short on details about preseason friendlies. We’re all anxiously awaiting the start of the season, USL teams. GIVE US THE NEWS.

• Louisville City doesn’t usually grace this page because it’s about everything else in the league, but City played a friendly on Saturday against SIU Edwardsville. It was closed, as you know, so we’re really relying on the club for details, which are fairly scant in this article. However, Team Purple won 4-0 which included three goals by defenders and a Chandler Hoffman PK, so we’re excited! Not FC Cincinnati winning the IMG Suncoast Classic happy, but happy.
• Several players on Tulsa Roughnecks FC were hurt in a bus accident over the weekend. Our sincere condolences to them, and wishes for a speedy recovery.
• In preseason friendly news, Pittsburgh Riverhounds beat Ohio State, Bethlehem Steel beat Syracuse (though definitely not in the uniform department), and FC Montreal beat Universite de Montreal over the weekend. Watch out for our FC Montreal preseason preview later today!
