It’s funny, soccer. We (ok, maybe just I) spend the entire offseason pining away for the on-season. Salivating over every snippet of news about the league or players or front office comings and goings. Then, BAM! The season starts. Balls get kicked. Goals get scored. Celebrations abound!
On gameday, anyway. In between the contests, though, are the interminable NON-game days. It’s pretty great that we Morados fans have five different podcasts we can listen to about games and stuff now. But the amount of newsworthy items in between games is next to nil. James O’Connor wisely keeps his team under wraps for most of the week. He’s good at doing the coach-speak thing during press conferences so there isn’t any controversy to ramble about. The players, when they do talk into microphones, don’t say anything that would grab the opposition’s attention.
This is all good for the team. But it leaves me with precious little to talk about. Instead, I’m still over here ruminating about how the hell we gave up that second penalty, or how snakebitten Oscar must feel after missing that header. GAAHHHH

- The University of Toledo Rockets almost became the University of Toledo Ogres yesterday before they deleted this tweet
- Sorry about all the Twitter links. That’s literally all I have to go on right now unless you’re interested in USL’s Pick ‘Em competition. I’m not, so I didn’t post a link to it. Y’all do you.
