This is a soccer blog, but it’s also a Louisville soccer blog, which means basketball’s gonna leak in every now and then.

I love March and tournament season. Like most Kentuckians I’m not one who just starts paying attention to the game this time of year, but there’s no denying it’s special. Players give juuuust a little bit more, the wins are that much more exhilarating, the losses that much more deflating. I also think the first weekend of the NCAA tournament is way more fun than the rest of it because there are usually so many unexpected results and close games. Talent wins out in the tournament more often than not, but the chaos in Rounds 1 and 2 is always worth the price of admission.

Then it’s over and we can focus all of our energy on soccer like we’re supposed to. LINKS!
