Louisville City played its first preseason friendly of 2019 yesterday against Orlando City. How did it go? I have no idea, because it was closed-door and no one was allowed to broadcast it, stream it, live-tweet it, or (as of the time of submission) prepare a recap. James O’Connor likes to keep his teams’ preparations under his hat. His big, SPF 1000 hat.
In the end, it doesn’t matter because it took place on Day 3 of Morados’s preseason camp in Florida. It’s unlikely you’re going to learn very much given the circumstances. Still, it would have been fun to see the boys in action and see who is where, even at this early stage of the proceedings. It would have also been fun to watch the LouCity Twitterati continue their fervent investigations into the trialists in camp, which has already been entertaining enough.
Next on the schedule is Nashville SC on Saturday afternoon. I don’t have word yet on whether that game will be be streamed or tweeted or whatever, but will disclose such as soon as I know about it.
UNITED SOCCER LINKS:
- Speaking of the “guess-that-trialist” game, one of them has already been revealed to us: goalkeeper Ben Lundt.
- My hero and yours, Miki Turner, took a deeper dive into the future of the Ottawa Fury and their league sanctioning.
- I very much like classical music and orchestra, and the fact that this is what it takes to get people to watch/listen to that sort of stuff these days is lamentable, but also pretty funny.
