For some reason, or more likely no reason at all, I get perturbed when fans of other teams criticize our fans. It is very stupid, both the criticism and the fact that such criticism riles me up. “You don’t have any fans!” That’s dumb, of course we do. “Your tifos are garbage!” Thanks for your commentary on art! None of this stuff applies to me, personally, but I do tend to get defensive about it. Or, more accurately, “Mad Online.”
No one wants to be Mad Online. I don’t want to be Mad Online. I want to make fun of people who get Mad Online, but here I am getting Mad Online about something that is very dumb, the quintessential thing that people get made fun of for being Mad Online about.
Fortunately, I have lots of other things to distract me from the internet, which is a huge distraction itself. Things like kids and taxes and clients and bills and ugh the internet is sometimes better.
