What a weekend, y’all. Louisville City put up a 4 spot against NKU, there were some uninspiring men’s college basketball games, and MLS kicked off its 23rd season. Our own Mark-Anthony Kaye, recently sold to LAFC, got the start and went the full 90 minutes for his new club in their first ever match, an away win at Seattle Sounders.
I could not be more proud and happy for Mark-Anthony. As long as Louisville City is in the second division, if the club can continue to identify, attract and develop talented players that go on to play at the next level, then they’re doing something right. Those kinds of attributes are what makes Morados competitive on the field and an attractive place to play for talented players. Congrats to MAK for getting starting minutes in a key role for LAFC and for the win.

- SocTakes looks what what’s going on with the remaining NASL sides now that their 2018 season is cancelled.
- FCC and Nashville SC played to a 2-2 draw over the weekend.
- Leo Messi scored his 600th goal for Barcelona. That’s an absurd number, and he’s an absurdly great player.
