One preseason game down three and a half more to go. I got to see most of the game against Young Harris and was generally pretty happy with what I saw in the second half. I’m not a fan of the 4-1-4-1 that we kind of started in. Yeah, the personnel kind of fit it, but it’s not a system that really suits City’s style of play. Chalk it up to an experiment and some data collected to help with decisionmaking. I hope, anyway.
Y’all, it rained a lot this weekend. I’m 100% certain the club’s training ground won’t be dry land again for several weeks. I even heard that some of the storage containers on site floated away. Hopefully they missed that cow. Here’s hoping everyone is surviving the flood okay.

- Much as we all march on toward our inescapable physical demise, Manchester City marched to their first of what will be many trophies this season, beating Arsenal 3-0 to win the Carabao Cup.
