Tomorrow’s the last preseason match of the preseason, y’all. After that, it’s real season. Real games. Real tackles. Real stakes. Real refs (sort of). Lars and the Real Girl. Real.
But before things get real, we’ve got St. Louis FC on the schedule. The Chupacabras have fled the East once more to try their chances at making the playoffs out west. They have again begun things anew with a new coach and a reimagined roster. This time there are some familiar faces, including former OCB manager Anthony Pulis, along with Sean Reynolds and Kadeem Dacres. They have taken out their frustrations on consistently missing the playoffs on unsuspecting college and amateur teams so far this offseason, beating FC Denver a cumulative 11-0 over two legs this offseason. What did FC Denver ever do to you, Anthony? Before that, they beat SIU-Edwardsville 7-1.
I know many of you are heading down to Evansville for this tilt, as we’ve got a soft spot for STLFC and their ways. Drive safe, y’all. If you don’t make it, be sure to hit the St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Baxter and cheer on our marching cadre of miscreants, plus other people.
