Happy Valentine’s Day! It’s actually a pretty busy weekend in LouCityLand, so no time for wine you don’t like or expensive dinners in overly crowded restaurants. Instead, you can watch the Twitters for updates at Louisville City U17’s first ever competition, the USL Academy Cup! And then on Sunday, you can start catching streams of the senior team at the Wasatch Winter Cup on ESPN+! Reminder: Louisville City’s first match will be at 9pm eastern on Sunday against Colorado Springs Switchbacks. I mean, really, what’s more romantic than that?
How about some news while we quiver in anticipation for a big soccer weekend:
- Former Louisville City defender Shaun Francis is leading a team effort of Jamaica’s Reggae Boyz against the Jamaican Football Federation over unpaid wages and fees, among other things. Go get ’em, Franno.
- The clubs that make up USL’s League One voluntarily recognized the USL Players Association and will join clubs from the Championship in negotiating a collective bargaining agreement. It’s nice to see everyone getting along so far!
- Looks like Nashville got their stadium situation figured out.
Have a great V-Day and a great weekend! VAMOS MORADOS
