Five more days until Christmas, if that is your winter holiday of choice! I went to do a little shopping earlier this week and apparently it pays to be a last-minute shopper because literally everything is on sale right now. Sure, the selection’s a little thin, but 50% off is a hell of a deal, no matter what you’re buying.
Speaking of sales, if you’re one of those that bought some Louisville City merchandise with the new badge on it, the team store is offering full refunds on that stuff between now and April. Also, new scarves with the badge on it are now just $15! What’s really great is all of the sudden, merch is flying off the shelves down there now that the new/old badge is a collector’s item. You’d never know people hated it so much!
To the news:
- USL announced the Championship conference lineups yesterday. Surprisingly, St. Louis stayed put for the first time in their history. Sporting Kansas City II also remains in the East for 2020.
- You might recall that Fresno FC closed up shop at the end of this past season. The club, after mostly silence for the past couple months, finally announced today that they intend to return to the Championship – at some point. Somewhere. Probably in California? Who knows?
- San Antonio FC announced that they’re hosting FC Dallas for a preseason friendly in early February. This isn’t all that noteworthy, other than to remind us that when you own your own shop, you can play whoever and whenever you want! Will LouCity be hosting preseason friendlies at Lynn Family Stadium in the future? Hard to say – it’s miserably cold outside that time of year. But we’re probably dumb/crazy enough to show up for it.
Have a great weekend, y’all, and VAMOS MORADOS!
