Some quick hits today, as I struggled and failed to come up with a blurb or narrative that anyone would actually be interested in reading!

  • Birmingham Legion is going to open up their 2020 preseason with a friendly against Atlanta United. That’s a pretty big draw, I imagine! While it’s going to be fabulous when Lynn Family Stadium opens, the stadium is still outdoors and in Louisville. That likely prevents LouCity from being able to host preseason events like this there in early March. Oh, well.
  • Oklahoma City Energy got city approval to build their own stadium last night. It was a public, popular vote and passed by an overwhelming margin.
  • SocTakes, the 60 Minutes of lower division American soccer, somehow managed to get a peek at some financial data for the USL and its ownership entity, NuRock Soccer Holdings. Nothing particularly jarring in here, but it’s definitely interesting.

Have a great Wednesday! VAMOS MORADOS!
