Last week’s vacation somehow coincided with a situation where I couldn’t connect my laptop to the hotel wi-fi, and so you were sadly without the Purple Press for five. Whole. Days. I know you missed it, but in truth you didn’t really miss much because nothing happens in the USL between Christmas and New Year’s Day ever.
FEAST ON THESE LINKS THOUGH:
- Romario Williams, whom I would classify as a Top 10 striker in the USL, has signed with Miami. The East is going to be tough again this year.
- Hadji Barry has joined North Carolina FC for 2020
- Tulsa’s rebrand has come with a renewed interest in being relevant on the field, too. Even though Louisville City might never play them ever again, that’s good! They signed Lebo Moloto last week, and have basically done a complete overhaul of the roster that finished 16th in the West last year.
Now that all the holidays are pretty much over (belated happy Epiphany, everyone!), I think we can expect a lot more news at teams try to complete their rosters (AHEM) and get ready for spring training camp. The season opener is less than 12 weeks away, y’all! I think! Hooray!
Have a great week.
