It’s Martin Luther King, Jr. Day! That means you get a day off if you’re a banker or a government employee, but it you’re not, tough beans! It’s also the celebration of one of the most important people in American history that isn’t a president. Really, MLKJr. was more important than quite a few presidents, too. Dr. King’s struggle and message really are timeless, and are just as inspiring and applicable in today’s United States (and elsewhere) as they were during his life. Peace and equality are always worth striving for. Enjoy the holiday!

  • St. Louis FC, a dead club walking, sadly, picked up former Ottawa Fury attacker Mour Samb over the weekend.
  • Memphis has been busy in the player market since naming Tim Howard technical director. Ol’ Timmy’s ambition is showing, too, as he’s reached out to former Evertonian Jose Baxter to test his interest in hanging on to his playing career.
  • Indy signed some academy players to their senior team rosters, which just serves to underscore how important that part of any professional club is.

Have a good week!
