MARCH:

PRE-MATCH TAILGATE

Join us and the Lou City Tailgaters for all your pre-match festivity needs! Tailgating typically starts around four (4) hours prior to kickoff but you may find a few die-hards out there earlier. The tailgate is supporter run and supporter funded. We recommend BYOB and food contributions. If you do partake we ask that you contribute to the general fund. The main tailgate is located at the corner of N Preston St and E Witherspoon St in the Riverside Parking Cobalt Lot. The Coopers are joined here by several other SGs, so come say hello to everyone!

PRE-MATCH MARCH

About 30-40 minutes prior to kickoff we’ll start the March to the Match. Join us as we march around the tailgate lot, up Preston St, and into the east entrance. Flags will be waving, smoke will be popping, and we’ll be chanting and singing the whole way!

POST-MATCH CELEBRATION

After the match concludes, we have beers at Against the Grain which is conveniently located right outside the Slugger Field gate. Make sure you order a pint of the Coopers-inspired Ball Control! $0.50 from every pour (on home match days) of Ball Control goes to Shirley’s Way, a most excellent local charity helping families of those afflicted with cancer.

WHO, AGAIN?

Torontwo was well on their way to a historically bad season up until about a month ago. They hadn’t won once, drawn only three times, and had lost fifteen times. Now, though, look out. They’re on a hot streak, winning two of their last five. Both matches were played in Toronto, the first against Nashville, the second against the also bad Richmond Kickers.

So win number one was against a team that struggles to score goals of any sort, and the second was against the only team in the entire USL with a worse goal difference (-32) than the aforementioned tee eff see tee double-U oh (-29). The Lil’ Reds will finish the season without a doughnut in the win column, but they shouldn’t hit numero tres against Los Morados.

Hackworth’s charges have yet to concede a goal since he stepped in as manager. City’s scored nine goals in that same span. Yes, it was against Charlotte and Richmond, but Toronto is somehow even worse. They’ve lost every road match they’ve played. They’ve given up more than twice as many goals as they’ve scored. Believe it or not, they’re actually not a terrible passing or possession team, but they attempt almost 100 fewer passes per game than Louisville City does.

I can’t say it any more clearly than this: City should absolutely win this game and break the home draw streak they’re on. After watching the last two games, they should be scoring for fun tonight. I don’t expect to see Morados kicking dead horses or whatever, but they can afford to take some license with different tactics or scheme or lineup because. It’s not hubris if it turns out to be true. Come at me, Zeus.

VAMOS, MORADOS! VAMOS A GANAR!
