WHO, AGAIN? The Riverhounds. We’ve played them twice already. We know them, and have ruined things for them twice now. I’ve run out of jokes, I think. That said, this is a team fighting for their playoff lives, and every game matters for them. Rob Vincent and Kevin Kerr will be coming at City like a pack of wild dogs that somehow work on the riverfront in Pennsylvania to get a result. Let’s not give them one, shall we?
Here’s hoping our purple heroes aren’t too leg weary after taking apart Orlando City’s second team on Tuesday. The only question marks for City in this game are 1. Will Conor Shanosky play, broken face and all?, 2. McCabe or Adams at left attacking mid?, and 3. Why hasn’t anyone nicknamed Juan Guzman “Bonecrusher” on Twitter yet? Probably trying to spare Shanosky’s feelings, I guess.
PREPOSTEROUSLY UNINFORMED PREDICTIONS: Louisville City wins 2-1 (because for some reason we can’t keep a clean sheet anymore :(), Matt Fondy ties Kevin Molino’s USL scoring record at 20 with four more games to play, and we all have a good time. Yay!
COME ON, CITY.
