WHO:

FC Cincinnati, 18-6-3, 60 points, 1st place Eastern Conference

WHAT:

A USL match

WHEN:

Saturday, September 8, 2018, 7:30 p.m.

WHERE:

Louisville Slugger Field, 401 E. Main Street, Louisville, Kentucky 40202

WATCH:

I don’t have to goad you into going to see this one in the flesh. It’s always a fun game. Just go. But if you can’t because you’re still mourning the death of Burt Reynolds (and who isn’t?), then you can still watch on WBKI-58, listen on 790 KRD, and stream on ESPN+.

MARCH:

We’re taking a week off tailgating and having another block party with the Black Sheep over at Goodwood Brewing on the corner of Clay and Main. This time, the theme is Cincinnati Sausage Fest, which is a bit appropos given the club’s affectation for Germany and the change in name from “Futból Club Cincinnati” to “Fußball Club Cincinnati”. I’m surprised they didn’t take it all the way and go with “Zinzinnati” since that’s apparently the Germanicized way to spell the name of that particular city, but they just half-assed the name. Real talk, their version of Oktoberfest is actually good, and may be the only good thing Cincinnati has ever done.

Anyway. You should go to the block party because it’s fun, there’ll be a DJ, the food will be good, the beer/bourbon will be available, and it’s your last chance to tell FCC fans to go away before they actually do go away forever. If you even care that much.

WHO, AGAIN?

Screw these guys. If anyone expected me to eulogize FCC and their stay in USL or the rivalry with Morados, then you’ve probably never met me or read anything I’ve ever written about them. Let’s go get three points, same as we’ve done the last three meetings.

VAMOS MORADOS, VAMOS A GANAR!
