WHO, AGAIN?

The Pennislanders! The Stopwatch! Penn FC, for whatever reason, don’t really want to acknowledge their past history as the Harrisburg City Islanders, which gives me all the more reason to remind them of it at every opportunity. The H-Burg wasn’t really all that bad of a team, historically speaking, even though they’ve only made the playoffs once since Louisville City joined the league in 2015. There’s no reason to ignore that history, but that’s what they’re doing, and shame on them.

I was certain this was a team Louisville City should have beaten at home when they visited Slugger a few months ago, and then Lucky Mkosana came in and ruined our party. I don’t think Morados will get fooled by that guy again, even though he’s still pretty good.

Pennislanders are perfectly average. They concede more than a goal per game, and score more than a goal per game. They’re just fine. They can be exciting, they can be very bad. This game, to me, is more about whether Louisville City can get out of their own way than it is about how the City Slanders play. That’s not to say Pennislanders can’t come up and beat us, because they can. But if Morados can execute the game plan, they should win, pure and simple. Whether they can remains to be seen. I feel good about it.

VAMOS MORADOS, VAMOS A GANAR!
