WHO, AGAIN?

Oh, man. Oh, manomanomanoman. Red Bulls II have been on a tear. They can’t shooting, they can’t stop scoring. They’ve won four of their last six matches by a combined score of 15-4. They score a goal every 43 minutes of game play, and every 30 minutes at home. They’ve put the ball in the net 48 times already this season in just 23 games. 37 of those goals were scored in home games.

But they’ve also conceded 36 times. To put that in perspective, Richmond’s only scored 20 goals this season, and New York’s total goals conceded number is almost twice that. I guarantee both teams would trade those numbers.

Evan Louro is still a pretty good goalkeeper. Andrew Tinari leads the entire league in shots. Amando Moreno is a potent striker. Chris Stroud is on a very hot streak. Owensboro has put some bad mojo on us by sending one of their own to the wilds of New Jersey to play for RB2. There’s a lot to be concerned about.

This game marks Louisville City’s last match under the Triumvirate’s leadership. I should note that Coach Luke Spencer has listed Player Luke Spencer as “questionable” in the injury report for this game, which is a good thing. City’s job in this game will, again, be to try to avoid 1v1s, handle the high press, and be judicious going forward. Getting caught on counters has been the cause of nearly every goal Morados have conceded this season, and this is a team that can do that in spades. Be patient, be smart, and City can come out of this match with points. They kind of need to.

VAMOS, MORADOS! VAMOS A GANAR!
