LouCity just tweeted out the following:

It’s no secret that a lot of the internet chatter about the new badge is bad. A good chunk of the internet soccer community, to say nothing of the club’s own fans, have spent the last week dunking on the logo. The backlash has apparently been severe enough that the club has decided to revisit either the process, the new brand itself, or maybe both.

I personally think a lot of the criticism is overly harsh, but the Coopers are both supporters of the club as well as the voice of our members. Many of our members don’t like the new crest. It’s healthy and appropriate that the Coopers leadership supports its membership if it’s critical of something the club has done.

We don’t know what the new process for the brand will look like. It could be some changes to the new brand. It could be a complete scrap and start-over. We do know that the club will need to move quickly on whatever it does so it can have merchandise to sell at the season opener, to say nothing of changing branding on all of its media platforms.

The most important part of this development is that the supporters groups are being included. We’ll keep you posted as more information is available. VAMOS MORADOS.
