U.S. Soccer’s fourth round U.S. Open Cup draw this morning saw Louisville City draw New England Revolution of MLS as its next opponent in the competition. The match will be played in Louisville in the first week of June. It hasn’t yet been determined whether the match will be played at Slugger Field or Lynn Stadium. Given the relatively low attendance at the first two Open Cup matches, Lynn seems like a good bet. However, this match will be just the second one in LouCity’s history at home against an MLS team. City’s previous forays against teams from the first division include a tough Open Cup loss to Chicago Fire in 2015, and a win in a friendly against Orlando City later that same year.

Get excited about moving on in the Cup!

UPDATE: The game will be played on June 6, time and location still TBD.
