Given that it’s still well below freezing outside and there’s still snow and ice everywhere, it shouldn’t come as a surprise today that Louisville City FC announced today that its opening preseason game against Evansville has been canceled. While that’s unfortunate, it’s perfectly reasonable. It’s not like you internet warriors are outside in shorts getting kicked in your shins while the wind freezes snot to your face, right?

Good news is, the players are still training hard:

I don’t know about y’all, but I’m ready for the season to start after watching that. NOW BRING ME ANOTHER CUPCAKE WHILE I WATCH ATHLETES ATHLETICIZE.

Other good news: the rumblings about a preseason friendly with our awful neighbors to the north, Indy Eleven, are getting louder. More on that as it develops.
