It has been a long time coming but Angel’s Share finally has its own dedicated space on the Cooper’s website (as you may already be aware of at this point)! For those unfamiliar with Angel’s Share, it is the committee that is dedicated to channeling the passionate soccer fan base in Louisville towards making the community better by supporting a variety of charities. It’s a team effort and the Cooper’s proudly partner with our fellow supporters’ groups such as the Lou City Ladies, the Lavender Legion, and the other groups that make up the “purple family”. Monthly, you can check this space for updates on ongoing charitable endeavors and updates on previous efforts. With that said, let’s jump into what has been done in 2021 and what’s coming.
For March, in honor of Women’s History Month, a signed Racing Louisville soccer ball was raffled off with the fund benefitting the Junior League of Louisville who is “committed to promoting voluntarism, to developing the potential of women, and to improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.” We are pleased to share that a whopping total of $1400 was raised! A big thank you to all who took part in the raffle and congratulations to Rebecca Tamas, who was the lucky winner of possibly the first signed Racing item.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to the signed @RacingLouFC soccer ball raffle last month. In total, we were able to raise $1400 for the @JLLouisville for #WomensHistoryMonth! And of course a special congratulations to Rebecca Tamas for winning the drawing for the ball. pic.twitter.com/y3qlQxBz3M

For April, to celebrate the inaugural Racing Louisville campaign, a Prideraiser has been set up to help raise funds for the Louisville Urban League. You might be wondering what exactly a “Prideraiser” is. In short, it is a campaign where individuals pledge to donate a set amount of money based on the number of goals the team scores. As of this writing, a total of $426.37 has been pledged for each goal that Racing has scored for the Challenge Cup! Thus far, the squad has scored two goals (totally $853) with two more games still to play. Despite the Challenge Cup being in progress, it’s not too late to take part! Be sure to make a pledge and help make our community a better place!
Please join us and the @RacingLouFC family in supporting @NWSLSG_ACTS for the @NWSL 2021 Challenge Cup!
We have joined forces with @Ledgehogs, @LavenderLegion, and @LouCityLadies to raise money for @LouisvilleUL!
