Many of us in the Louisville soccer community have been clamoring for more playing opportunities for kids in south and west Louisville for quite some time. Thanks to Louisville Metro Parks, that day has arrived!

Metro Parks is organizing a 5-on-5 youth soccer league at the Beechmont Community Center that will take place on Saturday mornings from March 16 through April 27 (excluding Thunder weekend). It’s FREE (emphasis on FREE) for any kid that wants to play! Any kid 18 and under, from any part of the city can play, they just have to sign up! The registration form for kids is below.

MORE IMPORTANT, though, is that they need adult volunteers to help with setup and organization. These guys will be crucial to the league’s success, and they can’t do it without folks like you! Hours for adults to assist most likely will be 10 AM to about noon. Please CLICK HERE to sign up! If you have any questions about kids or adult volunteers, feel free to call or email Jacob Hazel with Metro Parks at 361-5484 or Jacob.Hazel@louisvilleky.gov.

A key part of The Coopers’ mission is to help spread the word about the game we love to underserved communities. This is a GREAT opportunity for all of us to pitch in and do just that. We look forward to seeing you at Beechmont!
