The Boys in Purple are at home this weekend against the 5th place Richmond Kickers. The Kickers are coming off a 1-1 draw with Charleston Battery, and are unbeaten in since July 2. The keys to the game:

Richmond:

The Kickers need a win if they want to secure a better playoff opportunity. The race for 3rd place is a tight one; three teams are within two points of Cincinnati in the table right now, Richmond being one of them. What does Richmond bring into Slugger Field this Saturday? The Kickers are reputed for a hard-nosed defense, as many of us know. They have a solid offense, too, scoring 32 goals on the season. They also bring a 10 game unbeaten streak into this game, including a win against the Red Bulls II.

Richmond’s first key is going to be continuing their run of form. Time and time again we’ve seen teams have one great game then look like a garbage team the next. This can’t happen at Slugger for them.

The second key is to get Yudai Imura the ball. Imura has 3 assists and 9 goals on the season. This kid is a very talented and can change a game in an instant. Look for him to have a big game if Richmond want to win.

The final key will be to lockdown who is playing between the sticks. Richmond have had 6 goalkeepers play this season.  A Goalkeeper who is constantly behind the defense is the best asset a defender can have because he knows what the goalkeeper can and can not do. So hopefully for a W they will lockdown the position before the playoffs.

Louisville City:

Keep doing what you’ve done the past two games. Get a goal, keep a clean sheet, get three points.

Prediction: 2-0 LCFC

Come on City here we go!
