The MMC is back! Not regularly, but it’s back for today. After Schedulepalooza dropped on Friday last week, I figured it was time to take a measure of what’s been going in elsewhere in the league and the Eastern Conference in particular.

  • The schedule isn’t set in stone, necessarily. There were some dates on Louisville City’s schedule page that didn’t conform with the USL schedule for Los Morados on its own site. I suspect that all of the dates at Slugger are pretty firm, given the sharing arrangement with the Bats, but away dates might be more fluid.
  • I complained a bit about the timing of some away dates on Twitter last week, but at least we aren’t Nashville. Five of their first seven games are away, and they don’t play back-to-back home dates until June.
  • Indy Eleven just signed head coach Martin Rennie last week, but they’ve got a ton of ground to make up before kicking off their 2018 season. The XI still don’t have a venue nailed down, they haven’t started selling tickets yet, and zero players are signed to their roster at the moment.
  • USL is going to announce the first ever USL D3 team sometime this week. The league has visited sites all over the Southeast for several months now, including Lexington, Asheville, Chattanooga, Knoxville, and Greenville, SC. I do hope Lexington gets a team, that’d be fun for the US Open Cup.

That’s about all for now. Keep your eyes peeled for more stuff coming later this week. Maybe.

COME ON, CITY!
