WHO: FC Montreal, 4-12-3, 15 points, 10th place Eastern Conference

WHAT: Louisville City’s first home match since July 11!

WHEN: TONIGHT, Wednesday, August 5, 2015, 7:30 p.m.

WHERE: Louisville Slugger Field, 401 E Main St, Louisville, KY 40202

WATCH: AT THE STADIUM! It’s not like you’ve got important things to do on Thursday. Plus, if you do, you can still be home by 10 I bet. But if you’re out of town or chained to a pipe in the crawlspace, you can YouTube it here:

WHO, AGAIN? FC Montreal, FC Poutine, Impact Jr., Didier Drogba’s wait staff. For the first 14 games of the season, Les Petits Bleus et Noirs were easily the worst team in the USL, having won just once over that span and scored 9 goals while giving up 24. In their last five, though, the Quebecois have won three in a row, lost once and drawn once at Charleston with 10 men for most of that match. So despite their reputation, the French (Canadians) haven’t been surrendering as much as usual lately, scoring 10 goals and giving up six.

Like most MLS-2 teams, Montreal has a long, long roster and so we don’t really know who’s going to be making the trip to Louisville today. However, it’s a safe bet that leading goalscorer Alessandro Riggi, Frederic Gravelle, and Fabio Morelli will appear, as they each have at least 1,000 minutes this season. Charles Joly might also come down, as he’s been on a scoring streak of late. Given the quick turnaround from their match at the Battery, I’d wager a good chunk of the roster that played in that game makes the trip up.

ACTUAL MARCH TO THE MATCH: At least part of Washington Street is open since the fire at Whiskey Row, so we’re back to our old stomping grounds for pregame! Join us at the Troll Bar, Patrick O’Shea’s, and march with us! Or, if walking isn’t your thing, Against the Grain will be glad to have you, and we’ll be there after the match.

WILL LOUISVILLE CITY WIN? Yes. LET’S DO IT.
