In a serendipitous sequence of events, I complained on the podcast last night that there hadn’t been any press of any kind about Louisville City’s heretofore unknown Fun Day at Fort Knox. But now, there’s a press release! Yay!

You can click the link if you want, but the quick and dirty version is Louisville City players are spending the day at the US Army base at Fort Knox doing some team building exercises on Tuesday, February 27. That’s in addition to all the exercise and team building they’ve been doing in Florida for the past two weeks, but the Fort Knox community is a good one to engage with. They’ll also have an intra-squad scrimmage at 5pm that afternoon at the turf field on post. The public is invited, which is cool!

I can’t go, but someone else should so we can get a first look at what I hope will be some additions to the roster to replace Mark-Anthony Kaye and some other pieces that left during the offseason. I’m also curious to see how the guys play a full scrimmage with 20 or 21 players – will it be a small side game like 7v7, or will one team just have to play a man down the whole time? Not a bad drill, to be honest.

Anyway, I’m just glad to have some news about the guys and what they’re up to. Preseason can’t get here fast enough.

VIVA LOS MORADOS! COME ON, CITY!
