Louisville City FC announced the obvious yesterday, that the awful weather has caused them to cancel their second preseason friendly, this time with Young Harris College. Yes, that sucks. When I heard the news, I envisioned club GM Amanda Duffy and coach James O’Connor hulking out and trying to throw plastic trash cans through the windows of their offices at Sixth Street. That would have been terrifying and hilarious all at the same time!

Louisville City is good at one PR tactic though, and that is trying to sugar over bad news with good news: we have a new player! He’s English! He’s a midfielder! His name is Charlie Adams! No, not Charlie Adam, that would be crazy. Adams, with an “S” at the end, came up through Brentford City FC’s youth academy and had some success at that level before getting first team minutes last season. O’Connor says he’s talented and has a left foot that left him reminiscent of Gareth Bale, so there’s that. Ok, maybe not the Gareth Bale part, but he has a good left foot and has good delivery on set pieces, so maybe more of a Brad Davis type. TO THE HIGHLIGHT VIDEO:

Kick-ass, right? Now all we have to do is sign a goal keeper and about four more forwards and I’ll feel almost comfortable that we have a roster that will dominate their first USL season! It’s so easy!
